Greetings!
Thank you for visiting the Telecommunications and Network Services web
site! Telecommunications and Network Services is a unit under the Department of Information
Resources here at The University of Kansas Medical Center.
We provide a wide range of communication and computing services that are critical to the University's mission as a leader in the areas of research, education and patient care. Telecommunications & Network Services provides consultation, design, implementation, maintenance/repair, user support services, administration and training for the following services to faculty, staff and students:
- Voice telephone, voice mail and pagers
- Support for over 3000 personal computers connected to local area and campus-wide area networks
- Campus electronic mail
- File and print services
- Customer Support provides real time end user support for all services
- Video teleconferencing (telemedicine), providing expanded consultation services from KUMC physicians to hospitals and physicians in rural Kansas as well as distance education to remote rural sites.

It is the goal of Telecommunications and Network Services is to deliver
high quality service and ensure that the network backbone,
servers and applications operate within the guidelines specified by
