Thank you for your interest in our program. At the University of Kansas Pediatric Residency Program, our focus is on providing excellent training to future pediatricians. We are a well established program and our faculty are dedicated to teaching residents in a balanced format of both didactic lectures and hands-on experience. Residents are exposed to a variety of settings to ensure a well-rounded education. We encourage our residents to utilize our flexibility, so they are sure to get what they need out of their training experience. We also strive to provide our residents the necessary mentoring and support to allow them to achieve their individual goals.

The greatest strength in our program is not what you will find while attending one of our lectures or on the list of benefits; it is our residents themselves. They advise and support each other in ways that faculty cannot. They provide each other with the social network needed to get through a sometimes challenging part in their careers. Each one of them individually brings a unique combination of skills and personality, yet together they form a team that has become the core of our program.
