You have two convenient ways to refer your patients to the University of Kansas Hospital for outpatient visits.
Related medical records and/or insurance forms may be faxed to the same number.
Your phone calls are answered by experienced representatives in our Physician Consultation Center. They will provide you with detailed information about our physicians and departments at the hospital and help you schedule the most convenient appointment for your patient with one of our Pediatric specialists. You will be connected directly to a scheduler in your requested specialty.
If you use our easy patient appointment fax form, the completed form will be faxed back to you. It will include the patient's appointment date and time and the physician's name. The patient will be notified of the appointment by phone or mail and provided directions to the hospital.

The Transfer Center is a one-call service center that assists all parties involved with the transfer of urgent and same-day admissions to The University of Kansas Hospital.

All transfers require a physician-to-physician consult to discuss the condition of the patient prior to acceptance.
The University of Kansas Medical Center's Center for Telemedicine and TElehealth gives physicians and their patients access to specialists without traveling far from home. Through a video network that links rural areas with the medical center, physicians and their patients can take advantage of telemedicine services in a large variety of clinical specialties. Both regularly scheduled clinics and individual consults are available. These services may consist of a combination of telemedicine and outreach clinic ("in person") visits.
