Just
as a tower needs a broad base to be stable, so physicians need
a broad background of experiences to be productive.
We encourage our residents to broaden their horizons as they choose.
The KC Metropolitan area offers many opportunities for growth beyond
what you receive within our program. Many residents choose to volunteer
in one of the many charitable organizations around town and elsewhere.
Each year
some travel to the Philmont Boy Scout Reservation to
work with Dr. Goertz in the health lodge.
Several residents and staff also go to Puerto Rico to tend to
children in clinics there.
If you have a desire for an outside medical experience we will
work with you to try to make it happen.
