Sample Award Letters:When I was creating PRIDE it started with a single letter meant to display my feeling of congratulations to a young man who had achieved greatness in his athletic career. It was put on KU stationary to make it official, it was from the pediatric department to show multiple people were interested, and it stated words of praise and interest in the child's accomplishments. That was PRIDE, and it still holds the most important qualities of PRIDE's mission, recognizing kids doing well and encouraging them to continue. The prizes, limousine rides, food rewards, and grand presentations all add to the program, but it is the essence of that letter that promises to push the child and his peers to do well in the future and encourages them to become responsible adults. Please use the sample letters contained here as guides to creating your own letters. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
