Services

• Physicians in the Pediatric Pulmonary Division treat children with acute as well as chronic lung diseases. This includes asthma, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, interstitial pneumonia and other airway and lung problems.
• They collaborate with the KUMC pulmonary function lab in order to provide state of the art lung function testing for children, exercise testing for exercise induced asthma and exercise stress testing for any exercise induced symptoms.
• Pediatric Pulmonary Division also collaborates with our Sleep Disorder Center to provide evaluation and treatment for all sleep-related sleep disordered breathing in infants and children including central apnea, obstructive sleep apnea and acute life threatening events
• Pediatric Pulmonary Physicians also perform needed diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures on children in a state of the art endoscopy suite at KUMC.
• Pediatric Pulmonary Division collaborates with other pediatric subspecialists in caring for children with neuromuscular diseases and patients who have tracheotomy tubes and are on home ventilation
