Phase II Study of Paclitaxel for Ovarian Stromal Tumors as First-Line or Second-Line Therapy

Eligibility Requirements:

 

Disease Characteristics

 

         Histologically confirmed ovarian stromal tumor.  Not curable by surgery

 

         Measurable disease

 

Prior/Concurrent Therapy

 

         Have either a) previously untreated disease which was diagnosed within 8 weeks or b) recurrent stromal

         tumor having received no more than 1 prior chemotherapy regimen

 

         No prior radiation unless recurrent disease is outside the radiation port

 

Patient Characteristics

 

Performance status 0-2 (ambulatory, capable of self care, up at least 50% of waking hours)

 

No concomitant malignancy other than non-melanoma skin.  Prior malignancy okay if disease-free >5 years.
