Eligibility Requirements:
 
Disease Characteristics
 
Histologically confirmed epithelial ovarian cancer
 
After definitive staging procedure, pt is completely resected Stage II, I-C, I-A (Grade 3 or clear cell) or I-B (Grade 3 or clear cell)
 
Prior/Concurrent Therapy
 
No prior treatment for this malignancy except surgical therapy
 
No more than 6 weeks since staging surgery
 
Patient Characteristics
 
Performance Status of 0-3 (capable of at least limited self care; confined to bed or chair no more than 50% of waking hours)
 
No prior cancer within the last 5 years or accompanying malignancy other than non-melanoma skin cancer
 
No major systemic medical illness expected to affect survival
