  Official Information

I handle the duties associated with the Test Scoring section of Instructional Support.

Personal Information

I was born in southern Illinois, to Ronald "Easy" Knight and Arleida Knight. I am the oldest of five children.
My siblings are Carl, Garrel, Darlynn and Paul. (You can imagine how hard it was on my sister growing up
with four brothers.)

I have a lovely wife, Sheryl Diann Knight. We have been married since November of 1988.
I truly believe her to be a saint. (Who but a saint could put up with me for this long? *grin*)

Interesting Information

My wife and I have a wide variety of interests. These include:

Football - Besides being great fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, we each have our other favorite teams.
I am a long-time fan of the Minnesota Vikings. My wife is a Miami Dolphins fan. We also enjoy playing
Fantasy Football.

Archery - We both enjoy the sport of archery. My wife shoots a traditional recurve bow and I shoot a
50-pound pull English longbow. Several of my friends meet weekly to practice.

Games - We like all sorts of games, from RPGs (Role-Playing Games) to computer games (Guild Wars).
We also enjoy traditional board games, historical card games and activity games such as bocce and
pall-mall (a medieval ancestor to croquet).

Music - Between us, we like all sorts of music, from Gregorian Chants and Medieval/Renaissance songs
to C&W, Pop, Jazz and Rock. However, both of us have three favorites:

     1.  Heavy Metal (including Manowar, AC/DC, Poison, KISS, Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper, Meatloaf,
           Queen, Aerosmith, Whitesnake and Warlock.)

     2.  Comedy (including Weird Al Yankovic, Spike Jones, Stan Freeberg and PDQ Bach)

     3.  Celtic (including Medieval Babes, Scartaglen, Sunrush, Michael Dugger and Clannad)

Books - We both love to read and do research. Together we have in excess of 6,000 books. The books
range in their topics to almost everything. They vary from ancient Egyptian History to Arthurian Legends to
Leatherwork to Medieval Artifacts to World War One Airplanes to History of Clothing to Renaissance Art
to Cartography and of course many of the subject of  Heraldry. We also enjoy fictional works and have a lot
of science fiction, fantasy, horror and mystery books as well. (Click here for a list of some of our favorites.)

History - We love history, particularly the Middle Ages and Renaissance eras. We belong to a historical
re-creation organization known as the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). The SCA is an international organizations with local chapters all over the world. There are three local groups in the Kansas City area.
The Barony of Forgotten Sea that covers the general Kansas City metro area.
The Shire of Cúm an Iolair (the name means "Valley of Eagles") that covers Johnson & Miami counties in Kansas.
The
Canton of Aston Tor that covers the Lee's Summit/Blue Springs area.

In the SCA, everyone takes on a character or persona of someone who could have lived in the Middle Ages
(but not an actual historical figure).

I am known as Modar Neznanich who is a 16th century Russian spice merchant. I am known majorly for my
interest and knowledge in heraldry.

My wife, known in the Society as Briana Etain MacKorkhill, is acknowledged for skills in making medieval and renaissance clothing, especially Italian and Tudor garb.

Our very good friend, known as Jadwiga Marina Majewska, has quite a reputation for her cooking skills.

World War I Airplanes - I have a great love for WWI aircraft. The courage of the men willing to go up in what was known as "flying coffins" is incredible.
