Information Resources strongly encourages all faculty, staff and students to utilize the secure wireless network .
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A WINDOWS VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM THERE IS A BUG THAT WILL PREVENT YOU FROM CONNECTING TO THE SECURE WIRELESS NETWORK. MICROSOFT IS AWARE OF THIS AND THE FIX HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN SERVICE PACK 1 (SP1). SERVICE PACK 1 FOR VISTA HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED, BUT EXPECT IT TO BE RELEASED SOON. UNTIL THAT TIME YOU CAN UTILIZE THE UNSECURE WIRELESS.

What will I have access to via the "kumc-secure" encrypted wireless?
The following is a sample of additional services are available via the "kumc-secure" encrypted wireless network.

| Go-Print Wireless Printing | Download the GoPrint driver and instructions from myKUMC (Services Tab > Computing Channel > Software Download) |
| PeopleSoft (Web version only) | Access to PeopleSoft via the client will not be supported via wireless |
| "G:" drive and other shared network drives | |
| O2 | Must be an O2 user and already have O2 loaded on your device |
