Initiative

Develop and manage a WWW site that represents KUMC to the global community positively and effectively and anticipates the information needs of those who access it.

Goals:

Users will find the information they seek in a reasonable manner, presented in a personalized and professional way.

Tactics:

  1. Assist KUMC organizational units in transitioning their web sites to the new templates by January 2007.
  2. Collaborate with External Affairs to:
    Status:
    1. Develop business and technical process to allow External Affairs to update KUMC web site with new articles and information - in progress
    2. Develop an archive of photos for use across schools

Ongoing Tactics:

  1. Assume greater responsibility for developing high-visibility school, departmental, and selected other resources on KUMC's WWW servers.
  2. Ensure compliance with Kansas web accessibility guidelines, ITEC policy #1210 (more info)
