Research Interests
My current clinical research interest includes clinical trial development and execution in the areas of prostate, renal, testicular, and bladder cancer. This is includes the development of local investigator initiated clinical trials, participation in the development and execution of national cooperative group clinical trials and participation in pharmaceutical sponsored trials. I also have an interest in prostate cancer prevention and have a currently funded merit review grant evaluating serum and tissues effects of soy supplementation in prostate cancer. We are also in the process of developing a high risk prostate prevention clinic in conjunction with Urology. Working with my basic science collaborating, we have done significant laboratory evaluation on the effects of 2-ME in prostate cancer cancer and are preparing submission of a clinical trial grant building on our laboratory work.
