Moonlighting and Kansas Locum Tenens Program
Benefits
- Three weeks (15 work days) vacation per year, not to be accumulated
from year to year
- Two weeks (10 work days) of sick leave per year, not to be
accumulated from year to year
- Three months of leave without pay for reasons of family or
personal illness, serious health condition, disability, or the
birth or adoption of a child. All stipend payments and
benefits will be suspended during a leave of absence. Any
leave without pay time taken may extend the completion date of
a resident/fellows training program.
- Twelve working days per year of military leave with pay for
active duty for training purposes.

- Medical Knowledge Self Assessment Program Text (MKSAP) for
all PGY-3 residents
*Residents in good standing in the program are allowed to pursue
moonlighting opportunities and participate in the Kansas Locum Tenens
Program during their second and third year of residency. Both
require the resident to obtain a permanent Kansas medical license
after passing USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX Level 3.
