  Dr. Harris brings a wealth of experience in many settings to her work at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. Harris spent eight years in private practice in an inner city Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation setting, worked on care pathways for stroke and orthopedic disorders, and participated in task forces for pain management in an acute hospital. Dr. Harris was Clinic Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kansas City Veterans Administration for six years. She has been Associate Medical Director for Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care since 2006. In addition to her medical pursuits, Dr. Harris is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church serving in the areas of health ministry and missions.
