A weekly lecture series is designed for the fellowship and covers the most important topics in palliative medicine. The series consists of two single-hour sessions, 8 to 10 a.m. on Thursdays at Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo.
The series is open to not only to the fellows but also to health care professionals in the community, and CEUs are available for all meetings. The average attendance at fellowship core is 30 people, including physicians, advance practice nurses, social workers, and chaplains from the hospice and across the city, as well as the many different varieties of rotating learner at the hospice, from medical student to resident and fellows from various subspecialties. Coming soon: web based live and recorded access to the series, for off site faculty and interested learners who aren’t able to get to the hospice house in person every week.
