Clinical Interests |
In the clinical arena, my primary areas of research
interest are in the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials
evaluating new chemotherapeutic agents and their combinations in
hematological malignancies that are most relevant to Veterans, such
as Myelodysplastic syndrome, Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, Multiple
Myeloma, and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Currently active projects
are as follows:
- Title: Study of Doxil, Thalidomide and Dexamethasone
in previously untreated patients with Multiple Myeloma Source: Ortho
Biotech Role: Principal Investigator at KCVAMC Goals: Investigator
initiated trial conducted in collaboration with Dr. Delva Deauna-Limayo,
MD, to evaluate the effectiveness and toxicity of the above treatment
combination in patients with Multiple Myeloma
