Etiology: Bacterial

• Strep A (GABHS)

  • Most common 5 - 18 (3 - 15)
  • 30% of sore throats in children
  • 10% of sore throats in adults
  • Rare < 3 yo (1 yo)

• Other Strep (C & G) -- H Influenzae

• GC (Consider sexual abuse)
