CROUP

• URI process with subglottic & tracheal edema --“honking” cough & variable stridor

• Usually parainfluenza viruses (Some RSV)

• Usually late Fall, early Winter

• Highest rate < 3 y/o espec, 12 - 24 months

• Must differentiate from Epiglottitis/FB

• < 5% require hospitalization
