Paper Guide

1. Introduction/Background to Assessment Project (4 pts)
   1. Statement of complex organization to be explored and rationale for why this complex organization was selected for study.
   2. Theory to guide data collection and analysis. Include brief summary of theory, rationale for why this theory was useful, and appropriate theory references.
   3. Specific purpose of this assessment project 
2. Methodology for Assessment Project (4 pts.)
   1. Data Collection Plan (identify numbers and types of Interviews, Observational Sessions, and Document/Artifact reviews) Include rationale for this approach.
   2. Description of analysis methods (ie, what process and criteria will you use to determine the health/effectiveness of your community or organization?)
3. Assessment Results (4 pts.)
   1. Brief history of complex client
   2. Specific findings organized by selected theory
   3. Brief summary of organization/community strengths (one paragraph) and weaknesses (one paragraph).
4. Assessment Project Implications and Intervention (8 pts.)
   1. Identification of one selected problem/issue or need to be addressed and rationale for selection. Identify both possible barriers to problem solution and existing resources for problem solution
   2. Theoretical framework to guide the intervention (will likely be different model/ theory than identified to guide assessment).
   3. Statement of intervention (include objectives) and any supporting research literature for intervention
   4. Potential implications and evaluation plan (ie how will you know project was successful?)
5. General (5 pts.).
   1. References
      1. At least 10 multidisciplinary references
   2. Appendices
      1. List of contacts, individuals interviewed (identify by title only)
      2. List of documents, artifacts, records reviewed
   3. APA Format

   Presentation Guide (5 pts).

   Share a one page summary of this project and reference list via E-mail or Threaded Discussion with the class. Respond to colleagues' questions via threaded discussion group.
