Diagnosis

• Elevated serum thyroid (T3, T4)

• Suppressed serum TSH

• Estimated free T4 (FTI) elevated

• Sensitive TSH most reliable

• Antithyroglobulin, antimicrosomal antibodies elevated in Graves disease

• ANA elevated without evidence of SLE
