Osteoporosis
- Direct effect on bone resportion - decreases bone density after many years if TSH levels undetectable. If TSH nl -- no effect
Pregnancy
- replacement requirements increase (GI absorption decreased & TBG increase)
- Screen at 3 months if hypothyroid or at risk
