The name Stellent IBPM will remain above the buttons in PeopleSoft after the upgrade.

When starting using the PeopleSoft buttons without upgrading first. IBPM will open but will hang up executing NetFixInstaller.exe. It will also open some DOS windows. Closing Stellent and using the buttons again without upgrading will cause a reboot of the workstation and then start IBPM. They can then reopen PeopleSoft and run the search successfully using the old software. This is not recommended.

How do I upgrade the software?

Start IBPM using Start / Programs / Stellent IBPM / IBPM Startup

How do I fix most IBPM problems?

The first step in resolving a problem with IBPM after the upgrade is to run IBPMStartup from the Start menu
Start / Programs / Stellent IBPM / IBPM Startup
Start / Programs / Oracle / Imaging and Process Management \ IBPM Startup
or from

\\Malta\Startup\IBPMStartup.exe

 

Will I have to restart my PC?

Yes.

I finished the upgrade and Stellent is still under the start menu?

After the desktop upgrade there will be two listings under the start menu for IBPM, under Oracle and under Stellent. Both will work. You may delete the listing under Stellent if you wish but it is not necessary.

 

What will change with the new 10Gr3 release.?

Primarily the program name and publisher.
Stellent, IBPM 7.6

Oracle Imaging and Process Management (I/PM) 10Gr3

The Familiar Stellent icon will be replaced by the new Oracle icon

 

Why the name change?

A series of software company purchases.
Optika was purchased by Stellent was then purchased by Oracle
each company changed the name.
Acorde became IBPM then it became I/PM

 

My Imaging buttons in PeopleSoft or desktop shortcuts do not work after the upgrade?

Buttons in PeopleSoft and desktop shortcuts will not work after the upgrade until IBPM/IPM is started from the Start menu Start / Programs / Stellent / IBPM / IBPM Startup or from \\Malta\Startup

Desktop shortcuts (icons) will not work until the desktop software is updated and may have to be deleted and replaced.

New Startup executables are available at \\malta\startup

New Tool Buttons in the client window.

Tools are available using icons located along the top of the main window. In prior releases you had to open a tool using the View menu and return to the tool using the Window menu. Now you can open or return to a tool using the buttons.

It just won't work, do I have to use the desktop client.

If you use the buttons in PeopleSoft to access documents, yes. If not a web based version is available for non-PeopleSoft users at http://Malta/ibpmweb

The buttons in PeopleSoft will not work with the web client.
