On April 21, 1905, the University of Kansas School of Medicine was established by the Kansas Board of Regents. In celebration of that event we would like to share the film, “Pioneers and Visionaries”, which highlights our major accomplishments over the past 100 years.

New employees are required to make an appointment to be seen in the Occupational Health Clinic and are provided a sign-up sheet for that purpose. Records of immunizations are reviewed and, if indicated, immunizations are provided for employees. Worker’s Compensation benefits are reviewed and employees provided with a copy of “job related injuries/illnesses policy.” Staff includes an occupational medicine physician, occupational health nurses and a worker’s compensation case manager to ensure appropriate care and treatment. 913-588-6512

A Benefits Orientation is held from 9:55 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. during Medical Center New Employee Orientation. All new employees and employees newly eligible for benefits are encouraged to attend to hear an explanation of the benefits available and the enrollment forms needed. Lunch and Welcome from the Vice Chancellor for Administration –Employees who are attending the full day Orientation will be guests of the Executive Vice Chancellor for lunch in the University Room. A member of the Parking services staff reviews information contained in the "Parking Policies and Procedures" brochure. Topics include: provisions for student, faculty, employee, and staff parking, general regulations, parking areas for patients, visitors, and special restricted areas, and permit fees for surface and garage parking lots. New employees must complete paperwork necessary to comply with federal I-9 requirements. When the paperwork is completed, employees will have their pictures taken for employee ID badges. 913-588-5086.
