Learning & Development (L&D) is pleased to offer employees the opportunity
to learn, develop, and practice new skills to enhance their productivity,
performance, and morale. Our vision is to support employees in meeting
their needs for success.
Our Services Include:
- Career Transition Counseling - L&D is here to assist displaced
and transitioning employees by providing job clinics, resources, and
research capabilities.
- eLearning Modules -
L&D is offering online eLearning Modules at no cost to employees. Use
them to enhance your professional development as well as brush up on the
most up-to-date policies and procedures. (myKUMC access required)
- The HR-PDFA Wellness Series is a partnership between Human Resources
and Professional Development Faculty Affairs to bring you topics of interest pertaining
to your health and well-being within the business environment.
- In-Person Classes - L&D offers in-person classes
on a variety of topics in the Spring and Fall. Listening to
our customers, we also "take the show on the road" developing and facilitating
programs tailored for individual departments anytime.
- New Employee Orientation -
In our New Employee Meet & Greet, we welcome new employees, provide an
overview of KUMC's history, vision and mission, and summarize important
information that will be useful for them as they start their career with us.
- Resource Library - L&D is expanding our current DVD and Book collection
for use via employee checkout. Confer with our L&D Specialist today for reference
referrals.
- Web Resource Library - L&D continues to provide you
with resource tools to assist you with your KUMC career.
- Workplace Coaching/Mentoring - We are always available to individual
supervisors for Workplace Coaching/Mentoring sessions to review procedures and
guidelines pertaining to their leadership roles. Consult with our L&D Specialist
today.
