KUMC Employee Appreciation Week
October 2-6, 2006
A World of Thanks! In a show of appreciation for the dedication of our employees across campus, The University of Kansas Medical Center celebrated our fifth annual Employee Appreciation Week, October 2-6th, 2006. Employee Appreciation Week gives the Medical Center the opportunity to recognize employees for their important contributions and to remind our employees how much we appreciate their efforts.
A host of events were planned throughout the week including a Monday morning breakfast sponsored by Panera Bread, Department Celebrations, a Festival of Nations at Kirmayer Fitness Center, and Employee Recognition Ceremonies.
Letter from Executive Vice Chancellor Barbara Atkinson:
KUMC’s Employees,
Congratulations on another great year with the University of Kansas Medical Center. KUMC’s growth and success the past year is due, in part, to the energetic, vigilant and dedicated work performed by its employees. From the mail room to the board room, from parking to purchasing, each of us has an important role to play as we enter into the second century of the Medical Center.
In appreciation of all the hard work and jobs well done by the University of Kansas Medical Center employees, and in the hope that the spirit of teamwork we have enjoyed will continue far into the future, it is my pleasure to support Employee Appreciation Week, October 2nd-6th, at KUMC. This week of festivity is our recognition of your generous efforts this past year and every year. Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Barbara Atkinson, MD
Executive Vice Chancellor
Executive Dean, School of Medicine
