Level of Service
Level 1 Service:
Human Resources level 1 service consists of assisting Hiring Managers in
writing and placing advertisements and to receive and screen all applications
and resumes for minimum qualifications and to provide copies to Hiring Managers
at least twice each week. In consultation with Generalists, hiring managers may
request that basic services be waived with assurance that the Hiring Managers
ensure fair hiring practices.
The Generalists may help as desired in developing interview questions for
telephone screening and/or interviewing, and advising Hiring Managers in
screening and selections. If requested, Generalists will assist in reference
checking.
Level 2 Service:
Includes all level 1 Service plus Human Resources staff would screen
applications/resumes and provide Hiring Managers those applications/resumes
for which applicants meet required qualifications and identify those that
meet some/all preferred qualifications.
Level 3 Service:
All services contained in Level 2 plus Human Resources would conduct
telephone screening of those identified as candidates in Option 2.
Level 4 Service:
All services contained in Level 3 plus interview those who meet criteria
established with Hiring Managers. Human Resources Generalists would develop
interview questions with Hiring Managers, screen on the basis of the interviews
and recommend a finalist or final candidates to Hiring Managers. Human Resources
Generalists may also participate on panels or search committees.
