ID Badges

ID badges are provided to all students, faculty and staff at the University of Kansas Medical Center and its partners, Kansas University Physician Inc. (KUPI) and Research Institute (RI). They are issued in the Employment Office located at 1052 Wescoe building on the first day of employment during group orientation or by appointment (x8-5086) between the operating hours of 8a-4p, Monday through Friday.

It is important to understand, we issue ID badges, we do not assign access. Access is governed by University Police, KU Hospital Security, and the Hospital Systems Shop.

Every university, KUPI, and RI employee is given a pre-determined "general" access for employees plus the work area. Every student is given a pre-determined "student" access. Departments needing to specify additional access should email Tina Thompson in University Police. Hospital access issues should be directed to Paula Otney.

The initial ID badge is provided at no cost. Replacement badges due to loss, damage, or name change is $20.00. Cash and checks made payable to KUMC are accepted.
