Welcome to the Cytogenetics Lab at the University of Kansas Medical Center! This tour is designed to help visitors gain a better understanding of the inner workings of a cytogenetics lab and the role of chromosome testing in a diagnostic workup. During this tour, visitors will be introduced to the cytogenetics staff and the various steps involved in the process of obtaining a karyotype. Images of chromosome anomalies will be displayed, as well as the basic information needed to order a chromosome analysis.
