Dr. Sullivan is an educator-turned-physician. She was in private practice in south Kansas City for many years working with medical students and residents rotating through the office. Her practice was acquired by Jayhawk Primary Care (part of the KU Hospital) system about seven years ago. She recently moved to KUMedWest to be closer to home and have an opportunity to be more involved in teaching residents.

Dr. Sullivan has served as Director of Medical Education at Lakeside Hospital, is former president of the Jackson County Osteopathic Medical Association and currently serving on the executive committee of that organization. She received Medallion Award in April from Missouri association of Osteopathic Physicians for outstanding service to the medical community. She is past chair of the Dept. of Family Medicine at St. Joseph Medical Center, and is currently serving on Medical Advisory Committee for BCBS and Credentials Committee for Coventry Insurance. She is Board-Certified by the Osteopathic Board of Family Practice.
