Family Medicine Faculty Member Belinda Vail, MD, wins Bohan Teaching Award

Belinda Vail, MD, Associate Professor, Vice-Chair, and Residency Director in the Department of Family Medicine, was the clinician 2007 Winner of the Ruth Bohan Teaching Professorship Award.

The Ruth Bohan Teaching Professorship is the most prestigious award for teaching in the School of Medicine. The award recognizes excellence in teaching and seeks to continue the tradition of outstanding education in the Medical School.

Naomi Holland Recognized for Outstanding Customer Service

Naomi Holland, Lead Patient Service Representative in the Family Medicine Clinic was recently recognized by the Kansas University Physicians Incorporated (KUPI) Human Resources Department for her outstanding customer service. Naomi was also featured in the Kansas City Star Career page on October 14th for her outstanding commitment to serving the Department of Family Medicine's patients.

Welcome to Our New Employees

• ReBecca (Becca) Bohannon is the new Administrative Assistant in the Administrative Suite.

Holidays are Special in Family Medicine

Family Medicine faculty and staff celebrated the recent holidays of Thanksgiving and Halloween with decorations in the department and pot luck luncheons. The annual Holiday/Christmas celebration was a special event this year that included lunch and a gift exchange that were enjoyed by all.
