Dr. Meyer serves the medical school as Associate Dean for Student Affairs.  In this role, he has major influence on the academic and non-academic aspects of student life on the campus.  He oversees the Academic Societies Program, and serves as the Director of the Delp Society.  He is, or has been, the advisor for a number of student organizations, including the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG).  A former residency director, Dr. Meyer maintains an active clinical practice and is active in medical student and residency education.
