Bruce Liese, PhD

Dr. Liese is a psychologist who has been working in the department for the past 28 years. He most enjoys integrating his teaching responsibilities with patient care. Students and residents observe him as he sees patients with anxiety, depression, addictions, family problems, marital problems, and more. In addition to offering individual and group psychotherapy, Dr. Liese supervises advanced Ph.D. psychology students who offer free psychological services in the department. He functions in a leadership role by chairing Family Medicine's P&T Committee. He offers his psychological expertise and services to support the residency program by participating on committees, in discussion groups, and through program development. In addition, he offers his research expertise by teaching monthly resident research seminars and supervising individual residents on their projects.
