Drug
Information Center
The Drug Information Center is located at the
Kansas University Medical Center (KUMC) in Kansas City, Kansas and is a
joint program via the KU Medical Center,
KU School of
Pharmacy and the KUMC Department of Pharmacy.
The purpose of the service is to provide accurate, current and unabiased
drug information in the promotion of rational drug therapy. This service
is available to health professionals within the Stateof Kansas and to
designated contractors nationwide.
Responses:
The KUMC DI Center answers questions regarding prescription and non-prescription drug therapy but does not have the appropriate resources for information regarding illicit drug use. A response is provided by phone, mail, fax or e-mail within 2 days, however, most questions are answered the same day they are received.
