Managing your Personal Computer
Here is a new resource available to students to keep your PC running properly and to protect the valuable data they store. It is a “workshop” from Atomic Learning – PC Maintenance and Security. The workshop is packed with over 80 tutorials on organizing computer files, filtering email, safe browsing, preventing and detecting spyware and malware. Just go to http://movies.atomiclearning.com/highed/pc_cleansecure/
Where do I save my information/lectures, etc?
Currently, students are provided a 100mb file storage space in ANGEL. This space is designed as a temporary holding area for your class files*. Students should move these files to external media or to their computer as soon as possible.
Please make sure you have backup copies of your files. In the event you accidentally delete a file from the ANGEL File Storage area, Information Resources will not restore your files. Please plan accordingly.
To access this storage space:
Log into your ANGEL home page.
Since this is a file storage area, you will not be able to edit your files within ANGEL. *Student understands and agrees that he/she is responsible for assuring the security and integrity of his/her data including regularly backing up files.
