Randolph J. Nudo

Cortical Plasticity Laboratory Personnel

Research in Randy Nudo’s Cortical Plasticity lab here on the KUMC campus examines the reorganizational changes in the neocortex after a focal injury. By linking changes in the cortex to motor behavior in the subjects, we are able to discover the role of these cortical responses to the behavioral recovery process after a brain injury.

Additional research in the lab is examining the application of neuroprosthetic devices to link injured areas of the brain and spinal cord and possibly mediate the motor recovery process.
