Dr. Liu is an associate professor in the department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science and Director of the Landon Center on Aging Human Performance Laboratory. His training is in mechanical and biomedical engineering, having received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanchang University and a master’s degree also in Mechanical Engineering from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University. His research interests include motor control; sensorimotor rehabilitation; balance control; human neurophysiology; stroke rehabilitation; Parkinson’s disease; sports injury and rehabilitation; and complementary medicine.
