Residency Education

The Kansas Reynolds Program seeks to not only enhance geriatric medical education, but also improve the quality of care provided to older adults at our institution. The Kansas Reynolds Program will address evidence-based treatment for older adult patients with multiple complex comorbidities while considering burdens of treatment, goals of care, patient preferences, and interactions of recommended treatments. The Kansas Reynolds Program will use selected Assessing Care of Vulnerable Elders (ACOVE) quality indicators in the education of our resident physicians through a structured program of web-based education linked to their core curriculum and incorporate a subset of the Assessing Care of Vulnerable Elders (ACOVE) quality indicators into the practice of our primary care and sub-specialty resident physicians.
