About the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is located on the University
of Kansas Medical Center campus in Kansas City and is a unit
of the Office of Academic
Affairs.
The roles of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs are:
- Maintain a database for all postdoctoral fellows that:
- contains a listing current and former postdoctoral
fellows and electronic versions of their Curriculum Vitae;
- tracks the duration of postdoctoral fellow appointments;
- tracks the placement of postdoctoral fellows for a period
of 5 years following the termination of their appointment
at KUMC.
- Maintain a data form for all postdoctoral fellows.
- Coordinate communication, events, and other interactions
with and among postdoctoral fellows.
- Coordinate the meetings of the Postdoctoral Fellow Advisory
Committee.
- Support the recruitment of postdoctoral fellows.
- Sponsor or facilitate activities which provide professional
development for postdoctoral fellows.
