Silver City Health Centers, operated by KU HealthPartners, Inc., provides primary care services on a sliding fee scale to patients in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas.
Consultation Clinics, coordinated by the Area Health Education Centers and staffed by KUMC physicians, help to bring specialty medical services such as oncology, rheumatology, and pediatric cardiology to small- to medium-size towns throughout Kansas.
School of Medicine Medical Network Sites .divide the state into five regions, each directed by a practicing physician, who helps coordinate the School's efforts to mentor, train and place medical students for rural preceptorships. Network sites are based in Pittsburg, McPherson, Garden City, Hays, Salina, and Manhattan.
The Kansas University Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth (KUCTT), a leader in telehealth services and research. Beginning in 1991 with a single connection to a community in western Kansas, the Kansas telehealth network has grown to more than 60 sites across the state. During that time, over 13,000 clinical consultations have been conducted across 30 specialities, making the KUCTT one of the most active telemedicine programs in the world.
