The Office of Student Resources, Wellness and Diversity,
oversees student organizations. This office maintains a student organization
resource page as well as
an alphabetical list of student organizations.
Student Governing Council SGC is the primary student governing body at KUMC.
Representatives for graduate, undergraduate, and medical students from the Schools of Allied Health, Medicine,
and Nursing comprise the council.
Graduate Student Council GSC is the primary governing body for
graduate students at KUMC. Graduate students from the Schools of Allied Health, Medicine, and Nursing comprise
this council.
The Graduate Student Council hosts the annual Student
Research Forum. SRF is a two day event usually held the first week of April. The first day is comprised
of student presentations, the A.L. Chapman keynote lecture, and a poster session followed by a wine and cheese
reception. The second day is an interactive workshop covering topics such as medical and research ethics,
science in society, or research grant writing. All students affiliated with KUMC are encouraged to participate in the
Forum. The Student Research Forum Committees are
responsible for planning the various elements of the Forum.
