GTA/GRA/GAs are required to remain enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the fall or spring term and 3 hours for the summer term. Students who are post-comprehensive plus 18 credit hours may enroll in just one or more credit hours of dissertation, thesis or equivalent work approved by the Dean of Graduate Studies. Total withdrawal from the University, or enrollment in less than the minimum hours for the term will result in termination of their employment as GTA/GRA/GA. Termination of said employment before the last day of the applicable term will result in the student being obligated to pay additional tuition and fees as the result of reassessment to the non-GTA/GRA/GA rates.
Detailed policies regarding minimum enrollment are detailed on pages 27-29 of the Graduate School Catalog.
