Our inpatient services center on the University of Kansas Hospital. A fully-staffed inpatient unit dedicated to pediatric and adolescent patients provides a high level of care to our patients in a friendly environment.
Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides the expertise to treat children with a wide range of life-threatening conditions. Few hospitals have the staff and training necessary to maintain the level of readiness needed for critically-ill children, and only an academic health center has the combination of research and care needed to find the treatments of tomorrow. Our providers constantly strive to go one step further to give your child the best and most comprehensive care possible.
Because the NICU can be an overwhelming experience, some parents are reluctant to enter, fearing that they will somehow "interfere" with the care of their infant. That is not the philosophy at KU Pediatrics. We welcome and encourage your participation in all health-care decisions regarding your infant, and are delighted to answer any questions you might have.
Located adjacent to the obstetrical nursing unit and the nursery, down the hall from the pediatric ward, and with all the technology of KU Hospital available, the NICU is ideally situated to deliver the fast-paced care required for premature and critically-ill newborns.
Clinic
Building:We offer two convenient clinic locations in the Greater Kansas City Area. Both have providers who specialize in Primary and Sub-Specialty Pediatrics.
Located adjacent to the University of Kansas Hospital on the Medical Center campus, our Kansas City, Kansas clinic is located on the first floor of the Miller building at the corner of Olathe and Cambridge.
Our second location is in Prairie Village where we've been providing quality health care to our patients since 1985. The Clinic moved in 2007 from it's Overland Park location at 95th Street to it's current location at 73rd and Mission Road. The address is 7301 Mission Road - Ste 300 Building A and it is conveniently located in Prairie Village.
We also have outreach clinics located throughout Kansas.
